All profits from the Fair go to grassroots projects in the Himalayan Region

Tibetan, Nepalese, Indian and Afghan communities work with the Himalayan Fair Committee to offer this annual outdoor celebration of Himalayan cultures. Supporters include the North Shattuck Merchants' Assn., East Bay Express, KPFA Free Speech Radio, The City of Berkeley, Downtown Berkeley Association, and The Monthly

The Women's Foundation of Nepal supplies, with the help of donations at the Himalayan Fair, such basic necessities as a new water filter - click to see more. Proceeds from the Himalayan Fair are used to sponsor a variety of grass roots projects in Himalayan countries.

Beds and bedding for these and other children are provided through contributions from the Fair Committee. Click to see more. We investigate our projects carefully and make efforts to ensure the money is distributed in a correct manner.
