Ancient Future future is the world's longest running musical ensemble dedicated to creating world fusion music. They have released seven full length CDs and are currently at work on their eighth release, "The Archive of Future Ancient Recordings."

Matthew Montfort, the leader of Ancient Future, coined the term "world fusion music." He is a pioneer of the scalloped fretboard guitar (an instrument combining qualities of the South Indian vina and the steel string guitar). He has recorded with legendary world music figures ranging from Bolivian panpipe master Gonzalo Vargas to tabla maestros Swapan Chaudhuri and Zakir Hussain.
Ferhan Qureshi is a senior disciple of tabla maestro Ustad Abdul Sattar Tari Khan, one of the foremost tabla players performing today. Ferhan has had the honor of accompanying Ustad Ali Akbar Khan for many years during Khansahib's classes at the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael, and is sought after as a tabla accompanist for artists such as Ustad Shafqat Ali Khan and Pandit Habib Khan.
